DETAILED ROUTE DESCRIPTION – 14.6 KM RACE
We start from Heroes’ Square and descend along Polytechneiou Street to the Town Hall. We then turn left and ascend along Charilaou Trikoupi Street. Next, we turn right onto Asklipiou Street and follow it until we meet the provincial road Polygyros – Ierissos. We immediately turn left uphill towards the mountain (road to KEKYKAMEA). After running 2.4 km on asphalt, we enter a dirt road diagonally to the left (old road to Vrasta). Continuing uphill, at the 4th km from the start, we reach the 1st Refreshment Station. We continue uphill for another 2 km until we reach the asphalt road at the location “Ekklisaki Stavros”. From there, we descend 1.2 km on asphalt (road coming from Taxiarchis) and then diagonally right, we enter a smooth dirt forest road for 2.5 km until the 2nd Refreshment Station (approximately 9 km from the start). We continue uphill to reach the highest point of the course (around the 10th km). Then, a continuous gentle descent begins towards the finish. At the 12th km, we encounter the 3rd Refreshment Station. Continuing downhill, at the 13th km we meet asphalt again (old road Polygyros – Palaiochori). From there, we continue slightly downhill, enter the town via Polytechneiou Street, and proceed to the Finish at Heroes’ Square.
DETAILED ROUTE DESCRIPTION - 5 KM RACE
We start from Heroes’ Square. Just a few meters from the Start, we turn onto Papageorgaki Street (in front of the Regional Administration). Upon reaching the old Courthouse, we turn onto Ath. Karagani Street (the street in front of Piraeus Bank) and continue until Exi Vrises. We cross Exi Vrises and then head uphill on Akanthou Street toward the Forest Service area. Next, we turn left onto Asklipiou Street, continue along it, and passing through it, we reach the 1st Primary School. We continue straight on Asklipiou Street until we reach the Fire Department, where we turn left, going downhill along Polytechneiou Street. We pass in front of the Poligyros Municipal Theater, where the Aid Station is located. Continuing straight, upon reaching the Shell gas station, we turn right and head toward the Polygyros Municipal Stadium. We proceed to the Church of Panagia, make a U-turn, and return toward the Municipal Stadium; after passing it, we turn left toward Shell, then right into Polytechneiou Street, finishing at Heroes’ Square.
